1. Send us your BLUEPRINT, PLAN, PROJECT, DOCUMENT, etc., to be analyzed in order to determine its complexities and linguistic features with the highest accuracy.

2. A specialized translator is assigned to guarantee the quality of the translation.

3. A deadline for delivery of the assignment is then fixed and agreed upon together with the client. (Click Fees and deadlines)

4. A quote is then sent to the client within 24 hours, specifying details, turnaround and costs.

5. As soon as the order is placed, the text starts being translated.

6. The final version undergoes a thorough proofreading process to ensure that quality standards are fulfilled.

• Appropriate timing: Each translation takes time and, therefore, tied deadlines for complex assignments can affect its quality. Since LEXICA is committed to quality, we highly recommend flexibility to meet our standards.

• Jargon: It is of vital importance that our client defines beforehand specific terms or abbreviations which constitute the company culture or technical language of such profession, trade or company. The purpose of this is to avoid any misunderstanding and to be consistent with the culture and/or field of the client. Support material (such as glossaries, previous works, leaflets, etc.) that you may have will always be welcome.

• CDs or attachments: Electronic versions of each assignment are preferable to maintain the original format of documents. However, whenever not possible, we also accept any other formats. (Exception: translations of legal documents. Only photocopies, originals or faxes are allowed). Refrain from handing in drafts or fragments of the text even if the latter is being finished; we only accept final versions.

• Private couriers: In the case of important and/or confidential documents, such as a contract, a private courier will pick up and deliver it in person. The company can also opt to send and fetch its documents by its own courier if they prefer so.

• Contact person:The company should assign a contact person to act as a link between both parties, and clarify any possible doubt which might arise in the process of the translation.

• Special services and discounts: Clients with a considerable volume of translations and/or interpretations are granted special discounts in their fees. In addition, they have access to our on-line help desk to clarify any possible linguistic doubt. For companies that regularly require a certain volume of translations or that need frequent consultation on linguistic matters, we can also provide fixed fees for the overall monthly work over a period of time according to the requirements of the job.
